Legapass, the start-up that protects the transmission of your digital assets, wins the French Tech grant

Bpifrance supports the Nice-based start-up by granting it the French Tech grant to accelerate its development, with the objective ofopening its service to the public in the first quarter of 2022.

This financial boost for entrepreneurs and innovative project leaders is welcome to finance the first expenses of the young company that intends to create jobs to develop rapidly in France and attack the international market in 2024.

Presented for the first time to the public during the Entreprenariales 2021, Legapass has obtained a special mention of the jurywho was particularly sensitive to the problem addressed by this start-up: "On average, an adult has more than 100 digital accounts. This includes email logins, social media accounts, subscriptions, digital photo and video hosting platforms, bank accounts, crypto-currencies, website domains and the list goes on! All of these accounts, when combined, have immense monetary and sentimental value. What happens to these accounts after our death? How to secure their transmission? ".

Co-founded in 2021 by 3 software engineers: Jean-Charles Chemin, Eric Maïda and Adelina Prokhorova, Legapass has invented a solution for optimal and unique security on the market combining cryptography, trusted third party and offline archiving in a safe. Thus, the confidential data of the users are protected and safe from hackers. Only the heir will be able to access it at the time of the succession after having recovered his decryption key kept at a bailiff's office.
